Infraworks are recruiting for a global powerhouse in cereals and snacks, and they make some of Australia’s favourite foods. Their iconic brands include Nutri-Grain, Special K, Sultana Bran and Coco Pops (cereals), LCMs and Pringles (snacks).

You will be working in a Manufacturing Plant at Botany, the site produces an expansive range of ready-to-eat cereals, the role of a leading hand Maintenance Fitter, Working Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm. You will be responsible for directing and guiding maintenance labour to complete daily planned maintenance tasks and support the overall operations of the assigned area with their technical expertise and experience. You will be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and Working closely with maintenance, electricians, fitters, and departments such as processing, packaging, warehousing, quality, and project engineering.

Key responsibilities include:

· Organising and implementing all repairs in the assigned area

· Directing and supervising workshop resources

· Maintaining functionality of the plant from a mechanical perspective to improve operability, reliability, and availability of equipment

· Troubleshooting mechanical problems and minimizing production disruption

· Completing preventative maintenance activities as per schedule and reporting results to Maintenance management

· Ensuring adherence to all standard work processes and embedding KWS culture across all Supply Chain functions

· Ensuring that all mechanical work adheres to regulatory compliance requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

· Licensed fitting and machinery trade

· Significant industrial experience – Ideally in a food manufacturing environment

· Ability to work independently and direct support resources effectively

· Experience with SAP desirable

· Electric Arc and/or TIG welding experience, particularly with stainless steel

· Agility and responsiveness to changing priorities

· Experience acting in a leadership or leading hand type of role

Annualised Salary $105k base + Superannuation
